Mitsubishi Chemical America New Alpolic Office Building

Chesapeake, VA

Mitsubishi Chemical America contracted Core 22 Design Build to design and construct a new office building for their Alpolic division on a 28-acre site. Using a pre-engineered metal building structure, this 11,000 SF, one-story facility was constructed in nine months. The exterior façade features black and woodgrain Alpolic panels, a storefront entrance vestibule topped with a metal canopy and silver Alpolic panels.

Alpolic wanted to feature their brand colors throughout the interior as well as their Alpolic panels in the reception area. A custom reception desk was constructed which incorporated in the brand’s blue, gray and silver Alpolic
panels with a background of the same wood-grain panels displayed on the exterior. Finishes include dark blue accent walls matching their brand throughout, coordinated plastic laminate casework with solid surface
counters, carpet and luxury vinyl tile.

The facility is comprised of 13 executive offices, a large open office area to accommodate up to 24 cubicles, a collaboration space, two conference rooms, a work area, men’s and women’s restrooms, a large breakroom and a large training room to accommodate 50.
