Mitsubishi Plastic Composites America, Inc. is headquartered in Chesapeake, VA. Mitsubishi selected Core 22 Design Build to design and construct the
renovation and expansion of their Alpolic engineering office on the Chesapeake, VA campus.

Located in the corner of a 20+year old pre-engineered metal building, the engineers needed 3,900 square feet of office updated and 1,600 additional square feet of new office, meeting, and break room space. With an approximately $80/SF budget and goal of keeping certain space functions operational, the Core 22 team designed and constructed a new corporate image office space accommodating the growing engineering department as well as gathering space and break room for the production line employees. The design showcases Mitsubishi’s Alpolic composite aluminum panels in a new exterior facade as well as in interior spaces.
