Spivey Disposal wanted to consolidate their Peninsula offices in one location, they contracted with Core 22 to design and construct a combined office and warehouse and an additional vehicle maintenance building on the site of their existing maintenance facility.

The new office faces Pembroke Avenue and serves as Spivey Disposal’s Peninsula headquarters. New spaces include an executive office with a private restroom, four private offices, a reception area, a conference room, a break room, and restrooms. Perimeter fencing controls access to the maintenance bays.

The warehouse portion of the building includes a private office, IT area and sign construction/print room, and restrooms. An unfinished 1,377 SF mezzanine was provided for future expansion, and access to the warehouse area is proved via five roll-up doors. The total building area encompasses 20,023 SF, the 1st floor comprises the majority of the 15,651 SF, with the 2nd floor taking up the remaining 2,995 SF.

Core 22 completed the entire project in 10 months. Spivey was awarded the 2014 Honorable Mention for Design by Chief Buildings.
