Core 22 designed and constructed a two-story addition to Tidewater Korean Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA. Prior to construction, modifications were made to the existing building’s interior and structure. The first floor of the addition includes a 240-seat sanctuary, conference rooms, a children’s chapel, restrooms, and an elevator for ADA access. In addition to providing a balcony to the sanctuary, the second floor of the building is home to the church’s youth center. Classrooms, a special youth lounge, and boys’ and girls’ restroom comprise the remainder of the second-floor space The project also required modifications to the existing roadways and drives, a new drop-off canopy, additional parking and sidewalks, and updates to the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
