Core 22 Design Build was contracted to design and construct Blackwater Electric’s new headquarters located in Oakbrook Industrial & Office Park in Chesapeake. This 16,551 SF, two-story PEMB structure is comprised of 10,983 SF of office space and 5,568 SF of the warehouse.

The façade has an industrial look and is a collaboration of brick veneer, stone veneer, glass, and metal panels. Finishes are a combination of cool blues and grays with wood grain LVT, carpet, ceramic tile, and solid surface and laminated casework.

The office area is comprised of:

• 22 offices
• Two connecting executive offices with a private toilet/shower
• An open office area
• A vestibule and lobby
• Conference, meeting, and training rooms
• A break room
• Open work and collaboration areas
• A warehouse office
• A warehouse toilet/shower
