Spivey Disposal is Hampton Roads’ leading hauler and construction and demolition recycler. Spivey hired Core 22 Design Build in 2019 to construct their new, much needed, recycling building. The new building faces Salter’s Creek Road and is the third major project Core 22 Design Build has completed for Spivey. The new building replaced their existing structure which was built in the 1940s and was 10,000 SF with a clear height of 23’.

The old building was built on two different slabs with differing heights, so they were only able to utilize 6,000 SF for recycling. The new building is 12,000 SF and has a 49.9 clear height. The new structure was erected over the existing building, allowing them to remain operational during construction.
