Core 22 Design Build was contracted to construct the renovation of Old Dominion University’s Webb Center Café 1201. The 14,750 SF renovation included ODU’s Commercial Catering Kitchen, four vendors – Ruby’s Café (student center dining), Qdoba, Chick Fil-A, Steak ‘N Shake – and the general seating area for Café 1201. Basically, six projects in one with varying schedules for each area. The work was constructed in two phases consisting of:

• Complete demo of the existing vendor area and construction of new vendor outlets
• Complete build-out, rough-in, kitchen equipment placement, and hood installation at the commercial catering kitchen and vendor spaces
• Coordinate drawings, specifications, and franchise requirements at all vendor spaces
• Reconfigure HVAC, water and sewer rough-ins
• Upgrade and relocate electrical panels feeding these spaces
